Insurance coverage

The majority of healthcare insurance companies have a uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) policy where they will cover the procedure if it is medically necessary. Their guidelines usually include patient selection and the criteria for medical necessity. Your IR will know which healthcare insurers in your area have a policy that covers UFE and which ones may need additional information about this fibroid treatment. It is wise to discuss your healthcare coverage during your initial consultation about your fibroid tumors to see if your insurer has a policy.

Please refer to our specialist locator to find a physician near you and learn which coverage is accepted.
